Yuck! I went here and got a turkey burger and it was like eating cardboard. I asked for a chicken sandwich instead because it was that horrible. When the chicken sandwich came out it was ban and not worth the money I paid for it either. Save yourself some frustration and go somewhere else.

I sat on this one for a while. They do have the best fast food breakfasts around - it's all that saved them from one star. But unfortunately that's only a fraction of their menu. First there's the marketing campaign. At first, I kind of liked it. It was bold, slightly offensive and unapologetic - this is not health food, it's indulgent, it's food for red-blooded American MEN. That and a good sense of humor would excuse the suggestive, sometimes sexist ads. This was their market - that's how advertising works. If it offends you, go elsewhere. And while it didn't resonate with me, I nonetheless got it. But here's the first problem: their burgers suck. Not because they're unhealthy or greasy or anything else. They don't taste like beef. Second problem: they contradicted their whole unapologetic red meat-eating glutton angle by introducing a line of turkey burgers. During a lapse of common sense, I decided to try it. I figured that they must be pretty confident in this burger to think it would stand up against a beef burger, briefly forgetting my last experience with said mammal-based sandwich. I should say that, done right, I love a good turkey burger. But there's more art to it. The lack of grease needs something to offset it - seasonings, cheese, sauces, etc. Hardee's clearly does not realize this. To make matters worse, this isn't a true turkey burger. It's not ground turkey - more weird, mechanically-separated stuff similar to what you'd find in Chicken McNuggets. Dry, flavorless chemical-tinged blah. I realize I'm being harsh here. Part of it is because, again, they have shown that they are capable of making good food. Their biscuits are excellent, and they're one of the few fast food joints who serve eggs that actually taste like eggs. And part of it is history - I remember Hardee's pre-Carl's Jr. And I never forgave them for discontinuing their roast beef sandwiches - which easily put Arby's to shame. Not that I'm saying much here, but still. So yes - I'll probably return when overwhelmed with the urge for an omelet biscuit. But you'll never see me in there after 11.

hardees gets a 4 star just because they stepped up and made some pretty darn good fast food no apology burgers which used to suck back in the day! so my 4 star is based on fast food burgers only

In English please! Why oh why do they put employees with the most difficult to comprehend accent in the drive up? Not to seem prejudiced, but I ordered a fish sandwich on GOOD FRIDAY (no meat during lent ppl) and ended up with a little thick burger. How does that happen? I thought wrong sandwich with wrong order. Nope. It said little thick burger on the slip in the bag. The good side; cheaper lunch. Bad side; I can't eat it. Oh well. Oy, one more thing...WHERE'S the ice in my drink? Was there an ice shortage no one told me about?

This location served up my breakfast about three minutes after I ordered it. The service was not particularly friendly, but not bad, and the dining area was clean. Those buttermilk biscuits sure are tasty.

My second favorite Hardee's in the city. (My first fave is the locale in KCK.) What can I say the food comes out hot and I have never had to send it back. They have some great deals if you check in on your Iphone. They have something that the other fast food places don't have: Hot Ham & Cheese! It comes out hot too! Ham, swiss cheese (not cheddar, never) on a toasted bun! Yum! The fries are always hot and they have quite a few choices beverages as well. All in all a great Hardee's!

Not to be confused with "Carl's Jr" although the logo and some of the food is similar. I've been here several times and the food is just "so-so". I find they are pricier than a lot of comparable places and they just don't dish out the tastiest food for my dollar. Yesterday I tried the hand breaded chicken tenders and although they were a little more savory than I had feared they might be, they were tough.

When they had the buy one get one free Thickburger... I was in heaven. They use a red onion and I feel like that's worth mentioning. It makes a difference. So, yeah.... Thickburger is delicious. Better than any other I've had...even at the steakhouse. Onion rings were ok...nothing special...but it's good they offer them. Everything omelet biscuit (may not be actual name, but saying it does get results) is worth waking up in the a.m. for... well maybe not (nothing is) but if you are required to be up during breakfast hours, you may as well get one of these cheese dripping, perfectly cooked (and buttered) biscuits. Last time I was there (a few weeks ago) they had tenderloin biscuits. The drive through is fast, even if there are a few cars a head of you. Hardee's... there should be more them.

Pretty decent bacon cheeseburger. Unlike the Golden Arches they actually flame broil here so you do have a better flavor profile. I think the big problem in KC is a lack of locations which leads to a lack of brand awareness which leads to fewer customers...

as somebody who HAS been to this Hardees many many MANY times over the last ten years going blocks out of my way when the Hardees at 85th closed passing Mcd's Burger King and Wendys on the way for breakfast making excuses to go i was happy when i moved to OP i was much closer. i more go for breakfast except when they have the chili cheeseburgers on special those are SO good - i'd like to stop in puzzlement at the other review- why didnt they bag the locations that he thought was mediocre that delivered the bad food instead of blasting a perfectly good location? I never have had anything but excellent sausage and egg biscuits from this location- not to mention excellent chili cheeseburgers in fact my parents request one stop per visit here because they dont have a Hardees where they are and are hooked on the breakfast biscuits. my fault. i watched them a month ago happily scarf down thier biscuits plus a full order of biscuits and gravy one way to early saturday morning. it was excellent Sometimes there is a wait at 9am- we went in to wait inside instead of in the drive thru. its still worth it to take home the hot sausage and egg biscuits. i lived in California for 6 years and Carl's Jr was my least favorite place to eat and it remains so along with Del taco to this day. i can safely say at this location i never had the awful type of food no matter when they were taken over. and that includes when the moron grabbed the everything instead of my plain cheeseburger. still it was fresh. just not what i ordered and i didnt check soon enough and discovered it miles away. check your orders! its okay people of Overland Park! i'f i've survived for ten years including last weekend- you can safely eat here.
